The release of the latest version of JomSocial,V.1.8 codenamed "Wazi" (Swahili for clear, openness and clarity), opens up a whole new vista of possibilities for the average JomSocial based Social Network. So now you can get all those cash strapped projects up & running !

We know from your comments that all of you have been very excited about the development of our SocialAds extension for JomSocial & everyone is dying to hear news about its development. So we have decided to start a short series of blogs that will not only tell you how the development is going but also introduce you to some new features we have sneaked in ;) .

happy to announce the availability of Invitex V. 1.2 to all active subscribers having a subscription for Invitex.This Invitex release comes with some small but nice improvements which will make you love it even more !
We have added a JomSocial plugin which replace the default JomSocial invitations menu with one going to Invitex. For this make sure you install the new plug_js_inviteX.zip thats available in the unzip package & publish it.
The invite email becomes even more interesting now with the ability to show "People who have invited you" with their avatars just like Facebook or Orkut does. To have this go out in your invite emails, make sure you edit your email content & Add [PWIU] in the mail content. This is the tag that will be replaced.
Additionally we have added a nice looking reports dashboard on the Admin side to give you a quick snapshot of how invitations are helping your site. Make sure you read our updated documentation to see how you can implement the above.

This was followed by Orkut in Jan 2004 & Facebook in February 2004. Only mentioning a few biggies here. These were the ones that brought about the Web's latest revolution. We are happy to announce the availability of CB & JS Network Suggest Modules. The most awaited feature in this is the JBolo! Integration which now means that if you allow public Chat via JBolo on your site, you can now suggest people to chat with based on their profile information.
The CB version also shows a Fuzzy match percentage in a nice tooltip now ! The JomSocial version also has a more information tooltip but no fuzzy percentage for now..
