We’re back with yet another exciting interview form The Joomla Speak series of a Joomla enthusiast Apirat Jangjit aka Sai. She is The General Manager of CMSPlugin and today will be sharing her thoughts on Joomla and how her exciting journey with it has been so far!
I was working as Executive Assistant and my ex-boss wanted me to update something on the company website immediately. Of course, the only program I used the most was Microsoft Office. I've asked my programmer, but he couldn't explain it to me in the easiest way possible.
So the end of the day, my curiosity was still there and didn't really go away. I decided to take the Joomla class during my vacation leave to learn how to build a website. And I found it was so simple and I could do it myself. Now, my curiosity paid off.
Joomla is the best CMS choice to built a business for me because it's such a diversity software and the most flexibility. And an important thing is base on open source. The unified community that always share thoughts and helps each other no matter where they are and whatever language they speak makes this software even likable.
I've co-organized JoomlaDay Bangkok for the past 3 consecutive years.
I'm also managing Joomla User Group Bangkok in every month.
In my opinion, Joomla is a niche market. Joomla system can scale up into the enterprise businesses and it can make it simple for individual also. There are many ways for Joomla to approach businesses such as Training Courses, SME website, or major eCommerce.
One of many ways to make Joomla survive for the next 10 years is the stronger community that support each other with honesty. I would want to take Joomla to the self-sustainable level with its own ecosystem.
Happy Birthday to all Joomlers with all these 10 years of success and many more years to come.
Well, thank you so much for your time it was really nice talking to you. A nice thought shared by Apirat, that Joomla as a CMS will continue to grow no doubt, but with it having a strong community that supports each other honestly will help grow faster.
Guys, recently we’d been to the awesome Joomla World Conference which was held in Bangalore, India. Just have a look at what a fun event it was!
