Quick2Cart 2.9.1, JGive 1.9.2 and JTicketing 1.8.5 is here with advanced field based filtering!

Quick2Cart 2.9.1, JGive 1.9.2 and JTicketing 1.8.5 is here with advanced field based filtering!

We are delighted to announce the release of Quick2Cart 2.9.1, JTicketing 1.8.5 & JGive 1.9.2. The reason behind the joint announcement is that 'TJ Fields' an extension all of these products share for field management, has got a major architectural upgrade. This upgrade brings extensive field based filtering for Products, Events and Campaigns respectively.

This was made possible due to extensive improvements in TJ Fields which introduced a universal filtering system which allows extensions using our fields management system to automatically get field based filtering. All these extensions ship with TJ Fields v1.3 integrated.

Besides these, each extension ships with minor improvements and bug fixes.

What's new?

The Universal Filtering system

With this introduced in TJ Fields 1.3, all extensions using it get to use an awesome filtering system for all the item display pages. It allows for filtering by core fields like categories as well as TJ Fields based fields.

Quick2Cart, JGive and JTicketing already support creating custom fields. If you haven't used these as yet, look for the ‘Fields’ and ‘Field Groups’ Menus when you open the extensions.

From this version onwards, When you edit a field you will notice a new configurable attribute called as ‘Filterable’. If you set this to 'Yes', the field shall be used as a filter.

Now in order to use the filters, you need to make sure that the filters module is published on the relevant extensions.
