JGive 2.1 will be the second major release in the JGive nEXT series which introduced a completely revamped UI/UX as well as a host of new features which will be implemented over multiple versions. In addition to the originally planned features and improvements, we have also included a lot of feedback we received after the 2.0 release.
Here’s a quick look at what you can expect in the 2.1 release. P.S. While we were able to get down to penning this blog now, development is already underway on this version !
JGive 2.1 will be the first extension to implement the new centralised reporting Engine from Techjoomla - TJ reports which allows developers to easily develop reporting plugins and get extensive reporting capabilities in their extensions with features like report customisation and CSV exports. It will also introduce some new reports not supported earlier.
Right on the heels of JTicketing, this will be the second extension to support centralised vendor management and payouts via TJ Vendor.
We are converting all emails JGive sends to use TJ Notifications which will allow you easy editing and customisation of email templates.
You will have seen that the campaign creation flow was not touched in the earlier version. You will see a full revamp of the flow from a code as well as design perspective. The forms will be refactored to use jForms and implement the new Designs. We will also be ensuring better responsiveness on all views.
I hope you are as excited about this version as we are. Do comment and let us know your feedback !
When you subscribe to the blog, we will send you an e-mail when there are new updates on the site so you wouldn't miss them.
