New Installation instructions for JGive v2.7.0 onwards
1. Download the latest version of the JGive component from the techjoomla website.
2. Install the downloaded JGive component using the Joomla Extension installer.
Component auto installs all needed subcomponents, plugins and modules including -
- JGive component (JGive component)
- TechJoomla Strapper
- TJ Activity Stream
- TJ Field
- TJ Notifications
- TJ Reports
- TJ Vendors

- TJPrivacy
- JGive Campaigns (Module )

- JGive Category wise progress (Module)
- jgive_api ( jgive_api - System plugin)
- API - JGive (API plugin)
- JGive (Campaigns - Community(jomsocial) Plugin)
- Payment plugins installed are -
- 2checkout ( 2checkout - Payment plugin)
- alphauserpoints ( alphauserpoints - Payment plugin)
- authorizenet ( authorizenet - Payment plugin)
- bycheck ( bycheck - Payment plugin)
- byorder ( byorder - Payment plugin)
- jomsocialpoints ( jomsocialpoint - Payments plugin)

- EasySocial App for JGive campaigns (if easysocial is installed on your site)

3. After installation - Go to JGive component's main page on the backend. Click on 'Options' on the top right side and configure component options as you want. Follow instructions here
Upgrading instructions
Upgrading JGive
- On a safer side, always do backup your site and database before an upgrade.
- Make sure you backup any customizations/languages files that you have added/changed.
1. Download the latest version of JGive component from the techjoomla website.
2. Simply install the downloaded component using the Joomla Extension installer over existing JGive component.

3. After upgrading - Go to JGive component's main page on the backend. Click on "Fix Database" on the top left side and migrate the database. Click on 'Options' on the top right side and configure component options as you want. Follow instructions here
Upgrading from JGive version 1.9.5 or from older versions (1.9.4, 1.9.3, 1.9.2. 1.9) to JGive version 2.5.x
1. If you are upgrading from older versions (1.9.5 or older than 1.9.5) of JGive, first you need to install 2.0 version of JGive.
2. After completing the installation successfully, on the installation page "create activities" button will appear. Click on the button and create activities.
3. After step 1 and 2, follow steps of the section "Upgrading from JGive version 2.0.11 or from older versions (2.0.10 to 2.0) to JGive version 2.5.x"
Upgrading from JGive version 2.0.11 or from older versions (2.0.11) to JGive version 2.5.x
1. If you are upgrading from older versions (2.0.11 or older than 2.0.11) of JGive, install 2.1 version of JGive.
2. Go to site backend ->components ->JGive -> On control panel page click on "Fix Database" button.
3. After installing JGive v2.1.x, follow the steps of the section "Upgrading from JGive version 2.1.9 or from older versions (2.1.9) to JGive version 2.5.x".

1. If you are upgrading from older versions (2.1.9 or older than 2.1.9) of JGive, install 2.2.0 version of JGive.
2. Go to site backend ->components ->JGive -> On control panel page click on "Fix Database" button.
3. After installing JGive v2.2.0, follow the steps of the section "Upgrading from JGive version 2.2.3 or from older versions (2.2.3) to JGive version 2.5.x".

1. If you are upgrading from older versions (2.2.3 or older than 2.2.3) of JGive, install 2.3.0 version of JGive.
2. Go to site backend ->components ->JGive -> On control panel page click on "Fix Database" button.
3. After installing JGive v2.3.0, follow the steps of the section "Upgrading from JGive version 2.3.5 or from older versions (2.3.5) to JGive version 2.5.x".

1. If you are upgrading from older versions (2.3.5 or older than 2.3.5) of JGive, install 2.4.0 version of JGive.
2. Go to site backend ->components ->JGive -> On control panel page click on "Fix Database" button.
3. After installing JGive v2.4.0, follow the steps of the section "Upgrading from JGive version 2.4.0 to JGive version 2.5.x".
Upgrading from JGive version 2.4.0 to JGive version 2.5.x
1. If you are upgrading from older versions (2.4.0) of JGive, install 2.5.0 version of JGive.
2. Go to site backend ->components ->JGive -> On control panel page click on "Fix Database" button.
