REST API Interface to Joomla 1.5 Search

I've been attempting to work with Techjoomla's REST API for Joomla 1.5 search, but haven't progressed too far. The documentation and implementation explanations seem to be a little light. Anyone have experience in getting the REST API for Joomla’s search to work?
