The course category drop-down list in the "Add Course" screen does not provide any "progressive disclosure", the resulting UX is poor which unfortunately take away from the many stellar achievements to date with Shika.
An LMS course list should avoid dropdowns unless the list is very very short, as research shows that there are usability challenges associated with selecting items from long dropdown lists.
