Integration with TJ Notifications

In Shika version 1.3.4 or higher, we have moved Email Settings from Shika component options to a new menu “Notification Templates”

Notification Templates:

Below is the list of email notifications which are installed and are enabled on Shika installation.

List all the email templates available in Shika.

  • Title: It defines an action on which email is sent.
  • Key: Do not change. This is a non-editable field.
  • Email status: Easily turn ON/Off any specific email.
  • User Control: Allow site users to control which notifications they receive and choose which delivery methods they prefer. Site admins can control which notifications do they want the user to have control over.

  • Unsubscribed User: If User Control is ON for any email, front-end user can subscribe/unsubscribe email
  • Core Template: These are core templates for Shika product. You cannot directly delete them.
  • Id: Template id

Now click on Title/Key/ID it will open the template and you can see Notification tab.

NOTIFICATION TAB:

  • Title: It defines an action on which email is sent

  • Client: Component-specific, which client we use
  • User Control: Allow site users to control which notifications they receive and choose which delivery methods they prefer. Site admins can control which notifications do they want the user to have control over.

Besides the notification tab, you can see one more tab “Email”

EMAIL TAB:

Templates provide you flexibility in editing or changing email content from the backend. So that avoid hacks and language overriding.

  • Email Status: Easily turn ON/Off any specific email.
  • Subject: Contains email subject
  • Email Body:  Contains email body
  • Replacement Tags: Tags you can use in your body. So that gives you
    Like for Ex. {course.title} will be replaced by course name in the email.
