I have a third-party API that I wish to use on my Joomla website to display movie theater listings, select and sell tickets to various showings, seat selection, even concession sales. It's a very advanced API and I'm having difficulty making it work. I'm not even certain that com_api is the right tool for this job. I hope someone with a better brain for programming will help someone with a more design-oriented mind, like myself.

The API in question is documented here: http://wiki.readyticket.net/mw/index.php?title=API_Documentation

Unfortunately, that's also about where RTS's support for their API usage ends.

A great example of what's possible with it can be seen here: https://www.starcinemagrill.net/

That site was built on Drupal, rather than Joomla, but the end-results should be doable on both, no?

If someone could give me a bit of guidance -- I mean really dumbed-down -- I would appreciate it. I've officially read all I can about how to integrate APIs into Joomla and while I now know more than I did when I started, I don't seem to be "getting" how to put these pieces I've learned about together in a way that works.

Your assistance will be rewarded. If you're interested in helping, please contact me at matt@mattbechtold.com, and we'll discuss terms.
