Enrich your standup meeting with WIFLE & 02(Occasion Opinion)

I'm sure, many of you have already attended many standups before reading this blog. If you are not familiar with standups, below are some useful links.

In short, a standup helps you to keep track of your team's progress on a daily basis. Stand-up is a 'self reporting' meeting. In Agile, the team members don’t necessarily report to a team lead. Its main objective is to self organize a team. According to me, standup is a great opportunity to meet all your team members at the same time & get an idea about the lists of tasks an individual is doing during today's schedule & whether any assistance is needed to accomplish those tasks! The meeting should not last for more than 15 minutes for 5-6 teammates!

Alright so we're convinced with standup meetings. We conduct standups daily. Everyday we come, we meet, we discuss & we work.(How boring! I felt really boring while even adding this sentence) We need to add some spices & have some TADKA(tempering) in order to make our standup meetings really interesting. Here, I want to help you make your standup meetings really happening using some out of the box ways!

Looking back. Techjoomla in 2014 !

We are at the end of 2014 and it was an awesome year! With a brand new website, moving to our new offices, a slew of updates on our products and a brand new E learning product Shika; this year was filled with innovations and new beginnings. Writing the 2014 review for Techjoomla was a time of introspection for us and that's resulted in some great ideas for the coming year. We will be coming out with blogs about it soon!

At the close of 2014, we take a look back at what we achieved this year. 2014 for us, has been about change.. and change for the better. Its been about a major change in attitude as well as better perception of quality. We would like to thank our customers, supporters, well wishers and partners on this occasion for supporting us and providing us valuable feedback. A special thanks to those who have taken the trouble to be critical of our work and provide honest feedback. On that note, we would like to invite you to join us in taking a look back at the year thats drawing to a close.

Techjoomla gets a new website (finally!)

This is one topic that we definitely need to blog about. Launching the new website and doing a migration from Joomla 1.5 to Joomla 3 as well transforming data from the older suite of extensions to a completely platform and doing all that with minimum downtime was quite a project. But we finally launched with the new design as well as a fully revamped back end in April. The new website is faster, much more user friendly and a much more stable platform on which we can add more value adds to our customers. We hope you have loved the new design and fresh look as much as we have.

Techjoomla & TWS Team - Monsoon outing at Tamhini

Tamhini is an awesome place to visit...Especially in the monsoons. The road meanders through mountains covered with a lush blanket of green & gushing waterfalls welcome us at every other corner. This was the place that was chosen for our monsoon outing after much deliberations on whether to go for a Trek or a Trip.

A Private bus was hired and attendance for the trip was at an all time high ! Only 3 people couldnt make it.. But still there were about 24 of us as we started out on the Sunday morning. The Sun was out as we embarked on our journey ( not at all promising here in India in the monsoons ! - So there are no really 'Nice Sunny Days' here ;) ) . We were hoping for rains & a nice windy atmosphere.. but at least it didnt look like that in the morning :(
