The REST API is a great way to expose the resources on your site users/events/content to other publishers. Additionally it is now very easy to hook up 3rd party applications to your Joomla site. We've been using the API since some time now, and here are some implementation ideas

The REST API has been made available under the GPL license. It can be downloaded for free from
